![]() Un-cancellable 8 damage attacks are brutal and Grendel is the best defense card in the game. Beo is quite difficult to play optimally and has a lot of room for growth to reach his potential. Red can only do certain things at certain times and they are easily played around if you know all of her cards simply due to less options. In time, when people learn how to play both as and against these 2, red will likely fall and beo will rise on any tier list. I think saying Red is "no doubt top tier" and Beo is trash is ridiculous. I'm also aware that Red is a top tier character, no doubt, and the war king is left looking real shameful next to her in their box. But you read the title, how can we do better? It's simple and here it is, a slight adjustment to Beoboy's ability: When Wiglaf is defeated, gain 3 Rage. ![]() In fact, most characters can do what Beoman spends rage on for free. Wiglaf is also a big let down, offering nothing interesting aside from a possible rage and a free SINGLE damage (Red gets 2 free damage to multiple fighters at once.) Also why does Beowulf let the opponent draw 2 whole cards with Fatal Struggle? Arthur has the exact same card, but with no benefit to the opponent when he loses combat. The rage mechanic is neat n' all, but is never consistent enough to be fully relied on. I expected a slow-moving power house of a drunken homewrecker, but got a weaker Arthur with none of the fun of Merlin. Having received the latest copy of Unmatched, I was very hyped up to play Beowulf.
